Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp

The Scale and artistry of these sculptures truly did these tales justice. Pictured here is Enguerrand David while sculpting the lamp genie from the scene of him constructing the palace for Aladdin.
Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp
They hatched a plan that the princess would pretend to be willing to marry the Sorcerer, and they would poison the magician’s drink during the celebration. Their plan worked, and Aladdin took back the lamp from the dead Sorcerer. He bid the genie to take the palace, and all in it, back to Aladdin’s home. The Sultan, mourning for his daughter, looked up and rubbed his eyes, for the palace stood as before! Aladdin received him in the palace, with the princess at his side. Aladdin told him what had happened and showed him the dead body of the Sorcerer, so he might believe it was the Sorcerer at fault. It seemed Aladdin would live the rest of his life peacefully, but it was not to be.
